Morrison Hotel is the fifth studio album by American psychedelic rock band The Doors. Recorded between August 1966 and November 1969, this album was released in February 1970 by Elektra. After the experimental album The Soft Parade, the band returned to their roots with a slight blues influence on this record. The album features two sides, with the first side titled Hard Rock Café and the second side titled Morrison Hotel. This album laid the groundwork for the band’s next album, L.A. Woman, where they fully explored the blues sound.
