DYAD – Ólafur Arnalds

£8.89

In 2009, Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds had a successful year with his neoclassical music. After the release of his “Found Songs” album, he was approached by renowned British choreographer Wayne McGregor to create a soundtrack for his dance piece “Dyad 1909”, inspired by Shackleton’s Antarctic expedition. The soundtrack premiered in London and was later broadcast on ITV1. Along with four new compositions, the 30-minute soundtrack includes reimagined pieces from Arnalds’ previous works. This album showcases Arnalds’ talent for creating emotive and atmospheric music that captivates listeners.
